“THE TWILIGHT ZONE® TOWER OF TERROR™”
Media Day Events  May 4, 2004

May 4, 2004 is media day in Anaheim, California where our reporter is attending the festivities.  At 3:00 p.m. they had
a small press conference with Matt Ouimet, president of the Disneyland ® Resort.  AAA  presented a 13 Diamonds'
Award (one Diamond for each of the 13 floors in the tower).

At 8:00 p.m. they rolled out the red carpet for the big bash to dedicate the “The
Twilight Zone® Tower of Terror.”  Michael Eisner, CEO of the Walt Disney
Company, and bellhop Buddy Bolton introduced Carol Serling (the widow of Rod
Serling who hosted "Twilight Zone"®) dedicating the “The Twilight Zone® Tower
of Terror.”

Our reporter has ridden the ride several times so far and he says it is great!   It
is not for the queasy.   The ride drops more than once, he said it would stop and
you wold not know when the ride would drop again.  He has enjoyed the ride and
will be riding it again soon.  Check out our
photos from the "Tower of Terror"
media event.

They had a great party with fireworks, food and a band, plus this huge ice
sculpture of the tower (Hollywood Hotel).  They made the Tower of Terror
(Hollywood Hotel) dark and then had special effects like lightening that lit up the
hotel sign and it had sparks coming out of it.

On May 5th they had  a media event to talk about plans for Disneyland's 50th
Anniversary next year.  Check out our coverage
